Learn simple, time-tested techniques that you can use immediately to achieve anything you want. If happiness eludes you and you keep wondering if you would ever find happiness. If you keep wondering if you could acquire the wealth you’ve been dreaming of. If you find yourself no closer to success and you wonder why it’s so elusive, then chances are that you have not harnessed the infinite possibilities of your mind.
For the first time in your life, learn how to have mastery over your outer world of circumstances, of conditions, of environments by tapping the limitless power within you. Hello. My name is Dev. I’m also known as the Mind Man. I’m speaking live to you from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I have had the great fortune and rare privilege, over the last 17 years to work with Bob Proctor, the world authority on how the mind works. You would have met him in the DVD "The Secret", which has taken the world by storm. It’s the largest and the fastest growing DVD on earth. Our topic this morning is "Awaken Your Mind Power". Imagine... imagine taking a year off your job or your work. Imagine paying off all your credit card debts. Imagine owning the big, beautiful house you desire. Imagine looking younger and healthier as your age. Imagine starting your own business that will be rolling in huge profits. Imagine knowing the answers for every difficult questions and challenging moment in your life. Imagine feeling happy and having a deep sense of purpose every day of your life.
You can do this by unleashing the power of your mind and have all that and more. How would that make you feel? It would be great, wouldn’t it? That’s right. Let’s start by talking about the 90% of mind power that you don’t even know that you have. The mind is humanity’s last frontier. We have conquered outer space, but the workings of the inner space have totally eluded us. Is it a wonder then that 95% of the population is unhappy, unhealthy, unwealthy and unsuccessful. Consider this, my friends, 80% of all success is attitude and yet, very few people, and only a small percent of 5% of people on earth can really define what attitude is. But how it was formed, or how it works, or how to go about changing it. Your attitude is about mind. Attitude is about mind power. Attitude is about mindset and the mindset has got everything to do with your mind power. And that is why I said 90% of our mind power is there but we don’t even know it exists. My question is: if we don’t even know it exists, how can we use it? And to truly understand about mind and the power of the mind, you need to first know how the mind really works, and how the mind processes and program information into your little life, that’s when the young and continuous to do so in your big life as your guideline. You need to identify what’s stopping you at the unconscious level of your mind. Now, understanding how your mind works will allow you to clear your mental blocks - whatever that’s is stopping you from achieving whatever it is that you want. And then you need to deprogram some of the destructive habits that’s stopped us from achieving what we want in life then to reprogram the new, daily success behavior that will lead to success. But remember, success is only success if it is holistic. That is if it is spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically balanced. The unconscious mind is the only holistic programming device in existence. Ask yourself, my friends, have you ever wondered why you keep getting the same results. Are you frustrated by the current results in your life? Are you desperate to learn how you can change any results in your life? If yes, then let us learn, let us look, let us discover, and understand how our mind works. Let us understand how to have access to this unlimited potential, the power of the mind because the unconscious part of the mind. And let us understand how we can work with the unconscious mind so that we can achieve the kind of results that we want. The kind of results that we look for all our life long but for some reason has eluded us because we were unaware as to how the mind works. Today, together, I’d like to explore with you about the workings of the mind, about the power of the mind, about the infinite possibilities that exist. I’d like to start first by clarifying the difference between the brain and the mind. There are lots of people who can’t differentiate between the brain and the mind.
Next, what we’ll do is differentiate between the conscious mind and the unconscious mind, or subconscious mind, as most people like to call it. Let’s first start our discussion with clarifying the difference between the brain and the mind because that’s the first thing that we need to clarify. The brain and the mind are two very different things. The brain is a physical organ that resides between our ears. The mind is the activity of that organ. How does one know when the mind is being activated? It is when we think. Thinking is the process that certifies that the mind is operating. The next thing that we need to understand is that there’s a difference between the conscious mind and the unconscious or the subconscious mind. In a moment, I will explain why we prefer the word unconscious mind rather than the word subconscious. But before that, let us talk about this 2 parts of the mind. Very simply put, the mind is divided into 2: conscious and the unconscious. We don’t really have 2 minds. It’s just that the two divisions work very differently, one from the other because they both serve very different functions in the human personality. There are some 150 different names of the unconscious mind. Some call it the subconscious, the super conscious, the meta conscious, higher conscious, higher self, alter ego, the in-god, infinite intelligence, the I am, the ____ wave, the _________ and a whole host of other terms and terminologies. In certain medication schools, metaphysics and the ______ cult, there are 7 phases of the mind upon 7 models, making this part of the mind can be divided into 49 different distinct parts. My guess that memorizing all these 49 names is in no way going to change the quality of anyone’s life Now let’s talk a little bit about why we prefer the term unconscious as opposed to subconscious. Now, the term unconscious is preferred over the term subconscious simply because this part of the mind is the power center, the god-like part of the human personality. The part that does the work, the universal intelligence, the universal consciousness. As such, it would be an understatement to refer to it as the subconscious mind as in subcontractor, subset, sublet; "sub" being a smaller part of the whole. The use of the term "unconscious" was first popularized by the brilliant Sigmund Freud. Although we didn’t exactly invent it, however, psychologists and other laymen prefer the term "subconscious". In the 1960s, professional speakers begin using the term "subconscious mind" as it was ground-breaking information in the field of self-image psychology. The popularity of this term can hence be credited to two landmark books in the 1960s, "The Power of the Subconscious Mind" by Dr. Joseph Murphy and "Psycho-Cybernetics" by Dr. Maxwell Morse. However, the science of neurolinguistic programming or NLP, the school of mind science, psychiatry, parapsychology, timeline, hypnotherapy, philosophers, quantum physicists, the mind science of cybernetics intelligence, and many other schools of thoughts prefer the term "unconscious" over the term "subconscious". They simply feel it is a more accurate terminology for what the unconscious can actually accomplish. The unconscious here does not mean that one is in an unconscious state of mind. It simply means that we are totally unconscious as to the extent of the unconscious mind. We don’t really know for sure as to what it can really do. We are as such unaware as to its limits, hence, the term "unconscious mind". I’d like to take this discussion on the next stage. I’d like to talk a little bit about mind power. Mind power facts. What’s so incredibly great about this mind power to speak about. And please understand, when we speak about mind power here, you’re speaking about the unconscious part of the mind. We have no intention here to deliberate about the conscious mind because we all know about the working of the conscious mind. We want to focus on the unconscious mind because that is where the power is. It is the unconscious part of the mind that gives us 90% of all the results in our life. It is the unconscious mind that is the know-it-all knows. The unconscious mind knows everything of the past, of the present, and the future because there is not space and time when it comes to the unconscious mind. So understand when we talk about the mind, we’re talking about the unconscious mind. The part of the mind that is the power center, that is the god-like part of you. Some of you may be familiar with these references made by the great books of our time. Many of you will be familiar with "Think and Grow Rich" written in 1977 by Dr. Napoleon Hill. And in that book he spoke about thinking and growing rich. Now, when you say think and grow rich, he didn’t mean think with the conscious mind. He meant thinking with your unconscious mind. He meant thinking from that level of the mind that gives you access to every information known to humanity in the past, in the present, and in the future. And when he said "think and grow rich", he meant think from the unconscious part of your mind. A great book written in 1905, "As a Man Thinketh" by a great man by the name of James Allen. And in 1905, James Allen was ahead of his time when he said... when he said in his book, "As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he". He went on to say, the vision that are glorified in my mind, the ideal that I enthroned in my heart, this I will live my life by and this I will become. He went on to say, the mind is the master power that molds and makes. And man is mind. And ever more he takes the tools of thought and shaping upheavals, brings forth a thousand joys, a thousand ills. I think in secret and it comes to pass. Environment is but my looking glass. And in 1905 when James Allen spoke about "As a Man Thinketh", he meant thinking from the unconscious level of your mind. He meant thinking with the power of the unconscious mind. He made no reference to the conscious mind because the conscious mind has limitations. The conscious mind is limited to what it can see, smell, hear, taste, and touch. And therefore, limiting us to a three dimensional world. James Allen, in 1905, in "As a Man Thinketh" spoke about thinking from the unconscious part of the mind because he recognized that 100 years ago - the power of the unconscious mind - because he was well aware that there is great power in the unconscious mind. And he even looked a little bit more... a little bit more in depth about this part of the mind, that is the all powerful mind Another great book in 1910, most of you will be aware of it, "The Science of Getting Rich". 1910, Wattles wrote the landmark book, the ultimate book on the financial wealth, "The Science of Getting Rich". And he says, there is a certain way to financial freedom. And he says that two parts to the secret: (1) You have to think in a certain way. (2) You got to act in a certain way. So when Wattles said think in a certain way, he didn’t mean think from your conscious mind. He didn’t mean think from the conscious level of your mind. He didn’t mean work with the conscious mind. He said, unconscious mind. He meant for us to work from the unconscious level of our mind. He meant for us to work with the power of this unconscious mind. Consequently, we have to re-expose again to this great work, to this great secret about working with the unconscious mind. The reason lots of us have been exposed to this new DVD "The Secret". Now, many of you are familiar with "The Secret", the DVD "The Secret", which as I mentioned earlier, the main speaker in this DVD is my master, my teacher, Bob Proctor. And the DVD "The Secret" speaks about the secret, and the secret is about the Law of Vibration and Attraction. And it goes on to say that attraction can only happen if there is first vibration. Now, there can be no vibration if there is no emotion. And there can be no emotion if there is no first any thought about what it is that you want. So this thought that you think cause our body to have emotion, and this emotion cause vibration, and this vibration is sent out in the universe and, you in turn, attract those things that you vibrate at. And all of this process happens at the unconscious level of the mind. All of this entire process happens by working with the unconscious mind. Let me give you a few examples of how people in the past have used the power of the unconscious mind to attract great success, whatever success means to them, and whatever success means to you, by being able to tap into the unconscious mind. Let’s take, for example, Thomas Edison. Thomas Edison is known to have found a secret, knowingly or unknowingly, as to how he can tap the unconscious level of his mind. Now, this is what he used to do. He used to sit. Anytime he had a question, anytime he had a challenge, anytime he did not not know the answers to whatever it is he needed the answers to, he would sit. Or lie on the chair, sitting very relaxed, very comfortable. And how he used to get himself to be in that state is by just by being relaxed. And this is exactly what you’re going to learn in a short while. How to be relaxed so you can access the unconscious mind. And as he sit relaxed, he used to hold two ball bearings in his hands. And he would pose a question to his unconscious mind. Of course, he did not know he was doing that. Of course, he did not know it was the unconscious mind. Of course, he did not know he was stepping into the unconscious mind. He’s doing it unknowingly. But it doesn’t really matter if he was doing it consciously or not. It still works!
